Pietro “Peter” Benso, Stylist

Experience - Peter joined hair proz’ salon in 1995 and has over 23 years of experience as a stylist.

Education - Peter received his cosmetology education at Pivot Point in Chicago and Scot Lewis Schools in Minneapolis. He continues to expand his knowledge through additional classes.

And More - Peter enjoys hair challenges, whether it’s giving body and life to fine hair or adapting cuts to fit facial contours. Away from the salon, Peter enjoys spending time with his wife, fishing, boating and music. He is a talented musician and enjoys playing for private parties. He is currently playing at the Lana Rosa Restaurant in Stillwater, where he plays guitar and serenades with the mandolin. Peter was born in Italy and moved to the United States when he was 26.

Beatrice Clark, Stylist

Experience - Beatrice joined hair proz’ salon in 2008 with extensive cosmetology experience. In addition to her stylist experience, she has been a platform artist for several major color companies and a part of the White Sands design team, traveling worldwide teaching hair cutting and the latest updo styles and new trends. Beatrice is active in the cosmetology community, including being a member of Hair America, a group that drives the latest hair trends. She is also involved in cosmetology competitions, judging NCA cosmetology competitions, training other stylists for competition, and winning over 50 competitions herself.

Education - Beatrice has a broad base of cosmetology education, including extensive classes on cutting, color, permanents, updo styles and latest trends.

And More - Away from the salon, Beatrice enjoys gardening, watercolor painting and rug hooking.

Jen Durant, Stylist

Experience - Jen joined hair proz’ salon in 1999 and has over 14 years of experience as a stylist. Her experience includes four years as a color specialist at Androlis Salon.

Education - Jen received her cosmetology education at Model College of Hair Design in St. Cloud and has a broad base of additional coloring and cutting training, including Eufora hands on training and White Sands updo classes. She has also attended a variety of industry hair shows in Minneapolis, Chicago, Las Vegas and New York. Jen is a member of the National Cosmetology Association and an elite team member of Eufora.

And More - Jen enjoys coming to the salon everyday and takes great pleasure in helping her clients feel good about themselves. Dawn Dvorak, Stylist

Experience - Dawn joined hair proz’ salon in 1993 and has over 25 years of experience as a stylist serving clients in the Glen Lake area.

Education - Dawn received her cosmetology training at the Scot Lewis Schools. She has completed a variety of other training, including Eufora product, updo and razor cutting classes; in salon training at hair proz’ salon and The Barbers/City Looks, and the Chicago Hair Show. She is also a member of the National Cosmetology Association.

And More - Dawn is talented working with fine hair and enjoys providing a variety of services including men’s, women’s and children’s cuts, foils, colors, perms, updos and special occasion styles. Away from the salon, Dawn enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. She loves the outdoors and traveling, and her hobbies include reading, painting, decorating, shopping and supporting her local food shelf.

Dee Grotberg, Stylist

Experience - Dee joined hair proz' salon as a master stylist and colorist in 2009 and has over 20 years of experience.  In addition she has been a national platform artist and Gold level educator for Rocco Altobelli and Retro Hair and is currently an Elite team member for Eufora.

Education - Since completing cosmetology school Dee has evolved her skills to specialize in the latest hair cuts, styles and trends.  She has state of the art training in areas such as European and precision hair cutting, as well as advanced coloring (Schwartzkof).

And More - Dee's passion is giving back.  As a result she started the "PIG" Program, People Intentionally Giving, which enables those who are out of work or in difficult circumstances to receive a FREE haircut.  This unique program involves three simple steps:
1)  Clients donate money which is passed on to a local charity.
2)  Dee donates her time and skills.
3)  Together we make a choice to pay it forward.

Vicki Johnson, Stylist

Experience - Vicki joined hair proz’ salon in 1991 and has over 25 years of experience as a stylist. Her experience includes working as both a stylist and in management of 2 other salons.

Education - After completing cosmetology training Vicki has kept up with the latest trends through a variety of education in hair cutting, coloring, foiling techniques and styling. She has attended many hair shows in the twin cities as well as in Chicago and Las Vegas. She is also a member of The National Cosmetology Association.

And More - Vicki enjoys meeting new people and prides herself in truly listening to what her clients want and working together for a great result. She enjoys doing a variety of hair coloring, foiling, perms and cuts for men, women, and children. Away from the salon she enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 kids. She also enjoys cooking, going out with friends or spending weekends at the cabin.

Nichole Kirt, Stylist

Experience - Nichole joined hair proz’ salon in 2008 and has over 10 years of experience as a stylist serving clients in North Dakota and most recently at Twiggs Salon Spa in Wayzata. Her experience includes being an educator for Artec Hair products as well as an advanced trainer for Twiggs Salon Spa.

Education - Nichole received her cosmetology training at the Cosmetology School in Fargo, North Dakota, and continues her education through a variety of training classes.

And More - Nichole loves coming to work at hair proz’ salon every day and loves helping her clients look their best. Away from the salon, Nichole enjoys spending time with her husband and her two boys. She loves scrap booking, playing with her three dogs, and working in the children’s ministry at her church.

Cindy Kunkel, Stylist

Experience - Cindy joined hair proz’ salon in 1993 and has over 20 years of experience as a stylist serving clients, with most of that experience in the Glen Lake area.

Education - Cindy received her cosmetology training through a variety of classes, including three years of advanced training in Chicago as well as high intensity cutting training in San Diego.

And More - Away from the salon, Cindy enjoys spending time with her husband of 26 years, her 3 wonderful children and her two dogs. Her hobbies include reading, cooking and travel.

Amber Remus, Stylist

Experience - Amber joined hair proz’ salon in 2008 and has over six years of stylist experience. Her experience includes attending Eufora Global in San Diego, where she honed her skills in advanced cutting techniques and training in current styles and new trends, as well as Eufora razor training.

Education - Amber received her training at the Aveda Institute and Scot Lewis Schools. She also received training in advanced cutting and coloring at Spalon Montage and product and client relations training as a Eufora Elite team member.

And More - Amber enjoys helping clients find a cut, color and style that fits their lifestyle and complements their facial features. Away from the salon, Amber enjoys spending time with her Boxer mix name Evee, as well as snowboarding, salsa dancing, camping, traveling, boating and Viking’s football.

Suzanne Townsend, Stylist

Experience - Suzanne is the most recent addition to our staff, bringing her 20+ years of experience to Hair Proz’ Salon in 2010. She spent the past 13 years as a stylist in Deep Haven’s Metropolis Salon. Prior to that she was a stylist at Denny Kemp Salon and at Horst Salons, where she was also an Advanced Trainer. She has also worked as a hair and make-up designer for numerous professional photo shoots, hair shows and other special events from New York to Los Angeles. She is a Master hair cutter and colorist and specializes in wedding and prom updos as well as a professional make up artist.

Education - Suzanne graduated from the Aveda Institute in 1991. She is currently an Elite Team member for Euphora and is also one of a small number of local stylists trained to perform the new brazilian keratin treatment. She continues her education by attending a variety of advance training annually.

And More - Suzanne enjoys the creativity of her work and is considered one of the best around when it comes to color selection and overall design. She loves her work and the satisfaction of making people happy. When she is not busy making people look beautiful, she enjoys cooking gourmet food, hanging out with her two beautiful children, gardening or standing in the middle of a cold Montana river, fly fishing.

Bev Roiger, Stylist

Experience - Bev joined hair proz’ salon in 1991 and has nearly 25 years of experience as a stylist. Her experience includes working as both a stylist and as a salon manager at The Barbers/City Looks.

Education - Bev has a completed extensive training and continuing education in hair cutting, perming, coloring, styling and client consultation, and has attended national beauty shows and product training courses.

And More - Bev enjoys working with her fellow stylists to find success for her clients, many of which have been with her for over 20 years. She is passionate about color services, whether a full color or enhancing natural highlights. Away from the salon, Bev enjoys spending time with her husband, two sons, and nine siblings. She enjoys reading, sewing baby blankets, and laughing with friends. Bev is also a survivor of ovarian cancer.

Ann Schultenover, Stylist

Experience - Ann joined hair proz’ salon in 1990 and has over 25 years of experience as a stylist serving clients in the western suburbs. She is also an experienced educator, currently working with Farouke Systems.

Education - Ann received her cosmetology training at St. Cloud Beauty College.

And More - Away from the salon, Ann enjoys spending time with her two grown sons who live in the area. She also enjoys fishing, camping and other outdoor activities, as well as watching football.

Sue Austin, Stylist

Experience - Sue joined hair proz’ salon in 2011 and brings with her 30 years of in salon training, teaching and has a fabulous chair-side manner. Sue has been trusted to manage various departments of highly respected organizations such as "The Barbers" and "Rocco Altobelli" as well as becoming a platform educator for both. Sue took a break from being behind the chair and elected to teach cosmetology about 1/2 way in her career. Shaping future cosmetologists was another way to transform the understanding of her profession.

Education - While Sue's completion of cosmetology training dates back to the early 80's, don't let that fool you! Sue has remained current in her skills, techniques and stays on top of this industry's ever-changing trends.

And More - Sue took her love of photography and turned it into a profession back in 2004. These 2 vocations are a perfect fit and today she continues to shape her photography business. Lives in Eden Prairie with her husband Gary and their Red Pointe Birman, Boo.

Peggy Lewis, Stylist

Experience - Peggy joined hair proz’ salon as an advanced colorist and stylist in 2010 and has over 25 years of experience. From ownership of her own salon to years behind the chair, Peggy has accomplished the knack of listening to clients and performing services that allow them to walk away feeling fabulous about themselves. Peggy has worked with the best and brightest in the industry and carved out a great clientele in the process. She has added a full time schedule to her work week and has more time for new clients!

Education - Peggy's education started at Vera Slater Beauty Academy and she has continued her training taking Aveda "in Salon" color theory, Schwartzkopf and Framesi color education and product training from Moroccan Oil, Sojourn, Kevin Murphy, Marcia Brazilian Keratin Treatment and Eufora as well as Rusk Deep Shine color formulation class.
